During the story for Legends: Arceus, you will be introduced to Wisps, an optional collectible that can be found in almost every map of the game. There are 107 in total and finding them all will earn you 11 rare rewards and the chance to capture a Spiritomb Pokemon.
Before You Begin
Before you can collect or even see Wisps, you need to meet Vessa and receive the Odd Keystone from her.

Vessa will automatically approach you as part of the story when you’re returning to your quarters after defeating Frenzied Noble Kleavor.
She will give you the Odd Keystone and reveal Wisps to you. The very first Wisp can be found just at the other side of the river, next to a tree. They are floating purple flames found all over Hisui, and can be collected by approaching them and pushing .

There are 107 of them in total and they are completely optional, however, if you collect them all and complete the related request “Eerie Apparitions in the Night,” you will be able to encounter a rare Pokemon known as Spiritomb.
We recommend waiting until you have the ability to fly via Braviary to try and collect these wisps as you will have a much easier time.
Additionally, if you plan on following our maps below and it isn’t too late, we recommend not collecting any Wisps (except the one in the image above) until you’re ready to collect them all. This will allow you to avoid revisiting the locations of Wisps you have already collected.
If you’re struggling to find a particular Wisp, which hopefully won’t happen often with the maps we’ve provided, try resting at camp until night. The draw distance on Wisps is tripled at night, making them much easier to find from a distance.
Wisp Rewards

As well as getting to meet Spiritomb, you will earn various rewards from Vessa for collecting certain amounts of Wisps. We prepared a table below detailing the rewards and the required number of Wisps.
# of Wisps | Reward |

The Wisp at the Ancient Quarry is on a Pillar inside it, you’ll need to climb it with Sneasler to retrieve it.

For the Wisp inside Wayward Cave, you will need to use Basculegion to surf on the water and into the waterlogged tunnel. OR you can use Sneasler to climb up into the tunnel that is halfway up the wall near the water.
Both paths lead to an extra chamber where Whiscash can spawn. In there, you will find the Wisp.
Alabaster Icelands Wisp Locations

There are 20 Wisps to collect in the Alabaster Icelands.
Note that one of these wisps is in the underground ice caves below Bonechill Wastes, this one is marked with a small down arrow.

The Wisp in Snowpoint Temple is on the second floor, past the first Puzzle Door.

How to Catch Spiritomb
When you have collected all 107 Wisps, return to Vessa in Jubilife City. She’ll be waiting for you next to the tree where you collected your first Wisp on the night that you met her.

She will ask you to meet her at the Shrouded Ruins on the north side of the Crimson Mirelands at night.

You can rest at the tent in any camp to pass time until night.
Speak with her and she will reveal the 108th Wisp before disappearing.

Interact with the Wisp and the “Eerie Apparitions in the Night” Request will be complete.

The game will indicate the presence of a strange Pokemon.

Look around and you’ll probably see it very close by; Spiritomb!

If it hasn’t spotted you yet, you could throw a few Ultra Balls at it to try and capture it, otherwise engage it in battle to weaken its health before you try your luck with an Ultra Ball or two.
